58Sqn's North East history
The squadron was formed during the summer of 1916 at
Cramlington using personnel and equipment from the existing 36
squadron. While at Cramlington it performed advanced training
duties. It departed South to Dover in December 1917 and onwards to
France with FE.2b's.
